Wizz Pickups is a small builder specializing in the precise recreation of PAF pickups. Known for their incredible attention to detail, Wizz Pickups are meticulously crafted by an expert with years of experience with vintage instruments. Due to the labor-intensive process required to create them, Wizz pickups cannot be mass-produced. The company’s primary goal is to faithfully replicate the iconic pickups and components from the legendary 1950s Gibson Bursts. Everything from the tools to the materials used is vintage-correct, ensuring the most authentic PAF experience. Each aspect of the pickup—lathe markings on the slugs, bobbin color, and even the mold marks and numbers inside the bobbins—is carefully matched to the original specifications. The result? Pickups that not only sound like the real thing but also look and feel like it.
