As close as it gets to the iconic PAF!
Wizz Pickups are painstakingly crafted to be 100% vintage correct, reproducing every minute detail of the iconic PAF pickup.
Every part is custom-made, and most of the components, including baseplates, keeper bars, slugs, and maple spacers, are produced in-house at Wizz's workshop.
While there are several PAF replicas on the market, each striving for authenticity in different ways, Wizz Pickups stands out for its meticulous attention to detail. Each set is carefully numbered and takes about 20 hours to complete.
Lab tests on original Gibson examples allowed Wizz to specify the exact nickel-silver ratio found in 1958 Gibson base plates, leading to the creation of their own vintage-correct baseplates.
Even the tools used to craft these pickups are vintage-correct—yes, even the parts you don’t see are vintage-correct!
This includes the lathe markings on the slugs, the color of the bobbins, and the mold marks and numbers inside the bobbins.
The list of details is extensive, but the takeaway is clear: Wizz Pickups are among the closest replicas to the legendary Gibson PAF.
If you own a vintage guitar that’s missing its original P.A.F. pickups, you won’t find anything closer to the real thing!
