The most faithful P.A.F. reproduction
Designed in collaboration with Seth Lover, the inventor of the original P.A.F., this set captures the smooth, sweet and musical character of the earliest Gibson humbuckers. Built exactly to Seth’s original specifications, these pickups deliver vintage tone with unmatched authenticity.
The Seth Lover neck model combines a warm, full low end with a soft, sweet treble response. Single notes have a singing, vocal quality, and chords ring with natural clarity. Its unpotted nickel silver cover adds a touch of air and a subtle, piano-like attack.
The bridge model offers the perfect balance of warmth and articulation. It has an open, airy top end, rich mids and a rounded low end that never overwhelms. The response is dynamic and organic, ideal for classic rock, blues and jazz.
Each humbucker is hand built in Santa Barbara using period-correct materials including butyrate bobbins, plain enamel wire, Alnico 2 magnets and a nickel silver baseplate.
