This pre-owned Wampler Cryptid is in very good condition, with a few scratches on the back of the pedal.
The pedal works perfectly and includes its original box and accessories.

The Wampler Cryptid takes inspiration from some of the most iconic fuzz circuits ever created, including the Fuzz Face, Tone Bender and Big Muff, and brings their influence together in an original, remarkably versatile design. From searing high-gain fuzz to touch-sensitive vintage-style breakup, the Cryptid covers an unusually broad range of fuzz textures.
At its core, the Cryptid is an original circuit designed for players who love the character of classic fuzz but want considerably more control over how it responds and feels.
The Character control lets you move from smooth, singing sustain to more aggressive, sputtery and gated textures. The Tight switch shapes the low end, allowing you to choose between thick, massive fuzz and a tighter, more focused response, while the Chime switch introduces additional harmonic presence and clarity.
Unlike many fuzz pedals, the Cryptid also responds beautifully to your guitar's volume control. Roll it back and the pedal cleans up naturally for brighter, more articulate sounds reminiscent of a vintage germanium fuzz. It also works well with buffers and other pedals, making it considerably easier to integrate into a modern pedalboard than many traditional fuzz designs.
For players who sometimes find classic fuzz circuits too woolly, loose or undefined, the Cryptid offers the ability to tighten the low end and sharpen the response without losing the richness, sustain and personality that make a great fuzz so much fun to play.
