When Surfy Industries set out to create a fuzz pedal, they wanted to create something truly unique and exceptional.
Collaborating with fuzz aficionado Garrett Immel, known for his work with Satan's Pilgrims, The Ghastly Ones, and Venturesmania, they embarked on a mission to craft a fuzz that would leave a lasting impression.
Garrett's quest for his ideal fuzz led him to create the iconic D-67 pedal back in 2006.
Limited to only 50 units, with just a handful given to close friends and admired musicians, the D-67 quickly became a highly sought-after gem in the surf and garage rock scenes.
Now, Surfy Industries and Garrett have joined forces to bring you the SurfyFuzz, a fuzz pedal that takes inspiration from the D-67 while forging its own path.
The SurfyFuzz embraces its roots by incorporating the circuit foundation of the classic Mosrite Fuzzrite.
However, it doesn't stop there. Garrett's ingenious addition of the variable Mass control sets the SurfyFuzz apart, allowing you to maintain clarity and definition even in live performance settings. No more worries about your fuzz getting lost in the mix!
But Surfy Industries didn't stop at recreating the D-67.
They took the SurfyFuzz to new heights by adding the Harmonics function and fine-tuning the circuit to create a fuzz experience that surpasses the limitations of its predecessors.
And to add a touch of versatility, a toggle switch was added to introduce a different fuzz flavor reminiscent of the Japanese octave-style fuzzes from the late 60s, such as the revered AceTone Fuzz Master.
With the SurfyFuzz, you have the power to explore a world of unique fuzz tones.
It's not a clone of any specific vintage fuzz, but rather a fusion of inspiration and innovation that delivers an unmatched sonic experience!
