The Suhr Discovery Dark Edition delivers the same acclaimed analog delay engine that made the original Discovery one of the most sophisticated bucket-brigade delays ever created, now dressed in a sleek limited-edition black finish.
Designed by Kevin Suhr, the Discovery combines the warmth, depth, and organic character of classic analog delays with the precision, flexibility, and control expected from a modern flagship pedal. Built around four MN3005 bucket-brigade chips and a fully analog signal path, it captures everything players love about vintage analog echoes while eliminating many of their traditional limitations.
The Discovery offers delay times from short slapback echoes to expansive ambient repeats, all while preserving the rich degradation and musical response that define great analog delay circuits. Tap tempo, selectable subdivisions, and a clear digital display make it easy to dial in precise delay times for both stage and studio use.
A comprehensive modulation section allows you to add anything from subtle movement to dramatic tape-like warble, while dedicated high-cut and low-cut controls provide detailed shaping of the repeats without affecting your dry signal.
While the signal path remains fully analog, the Discovery incorporates a modern feature set including MIDI connectivity, expression pedal control, onboard presets, selectable bypass modes, and extensive parameter control.
With up to 127 presets available, the Discovery can easily serve as the centerpiece of a sophisticated live or studio rig while maintaining the unmistakable feel and musicality of a true bucket-brigade delay.
