Classic Tone from a Legendary Les Paul

Designed to recreate the original humbuckers in Joe Bonamassa’s iconic 1960 “Bolin Burst” Les Paul, this set captures the voice of one of the most celebrated vintage instruments in existence. After a decade-long search, Joe located this one-of-a-kind guitar and worked with the Seymour Duncan Custom Shop to reverse-engineer its pickups and make their tone available to players.

The Bolin Burst neck model delivers a smooth, articulate response with warm, full lows and clear, singing highs that shine with both clean and overdriven tones. The bridge model offers a dynamic, barky character, with focused mids that cut through a mix while retaining vintage sweetness and touch sensitivity.

Each pickup is hand built and hand aged in the Seymour Duncan Custom Shop using period-correct materials. Finished with nickel covers and left unpotted, they feature long-leg vintage-correct construction for enhanced harmonic complexity, natural air and the organic feel of a true late 50s P.A.F.
