The Seeker Zonk Seeker Pro is Mike Timpson's tribute to the legendary 1960s Zonk Machine, built using traditional construction methods and the raw germanium character that made the original so unique.
A close cousin of the MKI Tone Bender, the Zonk Machine has its own distinct personality. Leaner, sharper, and more articulate than a typical MKI-style fuzz, it delivers ripping textures, strong midrange focus, spitty attack, and the kind of gating artifacts that vintage fuzz lovers chase.
Whether used with hot pickups, single coils, a cranked amplifier, or an overdrive pedal, the Zonk Seeker Pro cuts through with unmistakable vintage attitude while remaining remarkably responsive to your playing dynamics.
The Zonk Seeker Pro is assembled using a MKI replica phenolic board with a point-to-point layout, following the construction techniques of the earliest British fuzz pedals.
This version has been ordered with Seeker's British Upgrade option, featuring premium British-made NOS germanium transistors selected from brands such as NKT, Mullard, Brimar, and Texas Instruments, chosen for their exceptional musicality and vintage character.
Each pedal is further assembled using NOS capacitors, carbon film resistors, and housed in a custom folded steel wedge enclosure with a blue powdercoat finish and vintage-style printed graphics.
Our pedals have also been ordered with the optional 9V DC power jack, allowing them to be powered from a standard pedalboard power supply while preserving the pedal's vintage circuit and tone.
The result is a remarkably authentic recreation of one of the most distinctive fuzz circuits of the 1960s, built with exceptional attention to detail.
