Germanium fuzz with exceptional cleanup and dynamic range
The Ge Distorter blends the best characteristics of two classic 1960s germanium fuzz circuits: the Fuzz Face and the Schaller Fuzz. While these originals share common DNA, each has its own personality. The Ge Distorter merges their strengths into a fuzz that feels familiar yet entirely its own.
This pedal is extremely responsive to your guitar’s volume control. Roll back for clear, chimey tones and low-gain overdrive, or turn up for thick, saturated fuzz with strong harmonic content. It excels at expressive, touch-sensitive playing.
As with most vintage-style germanium fuzz designs, the Ge Distorter works best placed first in your signal chain.
