The R Weaver FX Midnight Vibe is the result of more than 40 years of experience from builder Rick Weaver, whose lifelong fascination with guitars, amps, electronics and pedal design has shaped every detail of this circuit. His goal was simple: create a Uni-Vibe that captures the character of the best vintage units while offering reliability, control and musicality for modern players.
Every pedal is built using premium components, including NOS Japanese C2-V bulbs and hand-selected photocells chosen to match the organic feel of the most desirable 1960s units. The result is a three-dimensional swirl, rich harmonic movement and the unmistakable throb that defined some of the greatest guitar tones ever recorded.
With the Midnight Vibe, Rick offers three distinct versions so players can choose the response, speed range and feel that matches the style of music they play.
The 68 spec delivers the chewiest and most organic sound of the three. It offers a higher available top speed and reacts with more intensity at faster settings.
This version is ideal for anyone chasing Hendrix 1970 tour tones or looking for the most saturated and vintage-style movement.
The 69 spec provides a smoother, clearer and more controlled feel. It has a slower overall speed range and produces a very fluid and articulate sweep.
This version is perfect for players who prefer the tones of Gilmour or Trower and who want a refined and vocal character with excellent clarity.
The Hybrid spec is based on the transitional period when Honey was selling the Uni-Vibe design to Shin Ei. Some units from this era included elements of the earlier 68 style along with newer 69 style changes.
The Hybrid keeps the tonality and response of the 69 spec but adds the higher top-speed capability of the 68 spec. This version offers exceptional versatility and can easily move from smooth low-speed textures to the faster, expressive sounds associated with Hendrix at Maui.
