In 2014, Nordvang Custom launched their first pedal, the No. 1 Overdrive.
The No. 1 Overdrive was Nordvang's take on the mythical Klon circuit.
Nordvang is now unveiling a new chapter of the No. 1 legacy with the new No. 1 Signature.
While the original No.1 was a tweaked version of the K-circuit, the new No.1 Signature is as close as you can get to the tone and feel of a Klon.
New clipping options combined with a Pre Drive further expand the tonal possibilities of the No.1 Signature.
Like all Nordvang pedals, the No.1 Signature is made using premium quality components.
It features buffered relay bypass and Pure Tone audio jacks.
What really sets the No.1 Sig apart is the Pre Drive switch: an overdrive stage that precedes the K-circuit itself.
The circuit is fixed and voiced as a low gain overdrive with a mild touch responsive breakup.
The Pre Drive can be used with the entire sweep of the gain knob and lets you experience the power of stacking.
Add to that the EQ and output stage of the K-circuit controlled by the tone and volume knob and you get a versatile overdrive with loads of output on tap!
The clipping switch enables three choices for clipping diodes in the gain/clipping stage.
This affects the response, compression, tone and feel of the circuit.
• Germanium diodes : Low headroom and most compression.
• Schottky diodes : Higher headroom, punchier low end and less compression.
• No diodes : Loads of headroom and no compression. At higher gain settings, this one gets LOUD!
• Replica of the classic Klon circuit.
• Controls: Gain, Tone and Volume.
• External three position Clipping switch.
• Switchable Pre Drive stage.
• Original Russian D9B germanium diodes.
• Built using carefully selected top shelf components.
• Buffered relay bypass.
• Power: 9V DC.
• Current Draw: Less than 100mA.
