A cult classic among Nashville session players, the ODR-1 is a super natural-sounding dirt box.

It sits sonically somewhere between the mythical transparent overdrive and a certain mid-forward green pedal.

The ODR-1X boasts a 3-knob control set with Drive, Spectrum, and Level knobs.

Drive and Level are self-explanatory; however, the Spectrum knob offers something different.

Rather than acting as a typical tone control, Spectrum simultaneously adjusts both bass and treble without affecting your mids.

The result is extremely transparent: it flatters any amp you connect the pedal to.

The new ODR-1X introduces a bass-cut switch, a gain boost, a remote input jack, 18V power compatibility, and glow-in-the-dark knobs!

The Mossing Link

I have owned many drive pedals over the last four decades of playing but have never had one that produces such uncoloured tone. It’s the pedals you have to have if you want to develop your own sound. I find the boost adds noise but using a boost pedal in front does not. That said the mini version would likely be a great option as well if you already have a boost pedal. Zero regrets from buying this pedal ( yes we all know the feeling). On a separate note the pedal was well packaged and arrived quickly. My first purchase from ElectricMojo but not my last.

A very good OD for everyone’s pedalboard

I was curious to try the overdrive that all the Nashville’s guitar players were using, and it didn’t disappoint. It is really a great overdrive. Super dynamic, with a wide range of gain. To me, it really shines as a low-gain OD. The bass Cut knob is really useful to fine tweak the bass amount, compared to the standard version with the Bass Cut switch.

Great low-medium gain drive pedal. Immediately became my #1. It really does sound like the breakup of an amp. Apparently, this is modeled after the 1993 circuit (like the 30th anniversary edition). The variable bass control is excellent and essential; I don't think I'd ever run it at full bass. The gain boost feature isn't great, so I just leave it off. That's not what I bought it for anyway. Received the pedal, well-packaged, within 2 days as promised. Would definitely buy from Electric Mojo again.
