The Mad Professor Little Green Wonder Handwired marks the return of the very first Mad Professor pedal, faithfully recreated twenty years after its original release and now built as part of the company's premium Handwired Series.
Designed as a high-headroom overdrive and booster, the Little Green Wonder delivers a focused, articulate drive that enhances rather than masks the character of your guitar and amplifier. Whether used as a standalone overdrive, a clean boost, or as part of a stacked gain setup, it offers exceptional versatility and dynamic response.
A Unique Approach to Overdrive
At the heart of the Little Green Wonder is a distinctive EQ structure centered around its unique Body control. Rather than functioning as a traditional tone knob, the Body control reshapes the frequency emphasis of the overdrive itself, allowing the pedal to adapt easily to both single-coil and humbucker-equipped guitars.
Turn the control counter-clockwise for a fuller response with enhanced bass and low mids, or increase it for a more focused, mid-forward character that helps cut through a mix. Combined with the pedal's wide gain range and generous headroom, the result is an overdrive that feels equally at home as a transparent tone enhancer or a rich, sustaining drive.
Handwired Quality, Built in Finland
The Handwired version retains the original circuit while incorporating the premium construction standards found throughout the current Mad Professor Handwired lineup. High-quality through-hole components, Alpha pots and switches, and Switchcraft jacks are housed in a rugged enclosure with top-mounted jacks for pedalboard-friendly operation.
Handmade in Finland and backed by Mad Professor's limited lifetime warranty, the Little Green Wonder combines classic tone with modern reliability and craftsmanship.
