The KingTone Duellist V3 is the latest evolution of one of the most respected dual overdrive pedals on the market. Combining two independent analog overdrive circuits in a single enclosure, the Duellist delivers a wide range of expressive drive tones, from transparent clean boost to rich, amp-like overdrive.
Side A is inspired by the smooth, dynamic tones associated with Stevie Ray Vaughan, offering a touch-sensitive drive that responds beautifully to picking dynamics and guitar volume adjustments. Side B expands on classic Bluesbreaker-style overdrive, delivering open, articulate gain with excellent clarity.
V3 introduces several player-focused upgrades, including silent soft-touch switching, Clean / Classic / MAX voicing options for each side, and an 8-position internal DIP switch for deeper tone shaping. With these options, the Duellist can cover everything from transparent boost and classic overdrive to thicker, more aggressive textures.
Both channels feature completely independent circuits and can be used separately or stacked together. Dual and Split modes allow the pedal to function as two individual drives or as a powerful stacked overdrive platform. TRS routing also allows players to change the signal order, running A into B or B into A depending on their preferred gain structure.
Hand-wired and assembled using carefully selected components, the Duellist V3 is designed to deliver musical, amp-like drive tones with exceptional versatility.
