The Isle of Tone Luxe 66 is a boutique germanium fuzz built without compromise. Created by Joe and Steve of Isle of Tone, the Luxe 66 reflects years of studying, collecting, and restoring some of the rarest vintage fuzz pedals ever made.

Every pedal is assembled entirely by hand using exceptionally rare NOS components that have been carefully selected and matched by ear. Rather than chasing specifications alone, Isle of Tone builds each pedal by listening, ensuring every transistor contributes to the musical response, warmth, and dynamic feel that define the world's finest vintage fuzzes.

A Unique Germanium Circuit

At the heart of the Luxe 66 is an extraordinary transistor pairing consisting of a 1950s Telefunken TFK OC Glass germanium transistor and a NOS Newmarket NKT12 germanium transistor. This rare combination gives the Luxe 66 a voice unlike any traditional germanium fuzz.

Into a clean amplifier, the pedal delivers everything from rich germanium boost tones to light, dynamic fuzz. As your amplifier begins to break up, the Luxe 66 transforms into a thick, harmonically rich fuzz capable of producing singing sustain while retaining remarkable note definition.

The pedal also excels as an always-on tone enhancer. With the pedal turned up and your guitar's volume rolled back, the Luxe 66 cleans up beautifully, adding sparkle, clarity, and harmonic richness while preserving the natural character of your guitar and amplifier.

Interactive Controls with Amplifier-Like Response

The Luxe 66 features three deceptively simple controls: Volume, Clarity, and Fuzz.

Unlike a conventional gain control, the Clarity knob adjusts the amplification of the transistor stage and interacts closely with the Volume control, much like the relationship between the preamp and master volume of a vintage tube amplifier.

The Fuzz control functions as a tonal shaping control, allowing you to adjust the pedal's overall character without dramatically reducing the amount of fuzz available.
