Introducing the Broadcast-AP, the result of a collaborative effort between Hudson Electronics and Ariel Posen.
The Broadcast-AP is an evolution of the classic Broadcast, designed to complement Ariel's unique sound.
This class-A discrete, transformer-coupled circuit delivers a saturation reminiscent of the legendary 1960s RCA Broadcast consoles.
The Broadcast-AP takes things a step further by replacing the original Broadcast's germanium transistor with a silicon transistor and utilizing an OEP transformer instead of the Triad transformer found in its predecessor.
These mods result in a darker, smoother, and more powerful tone with increased weight in the lows, while still retaining the open highs and upper-mids that provide a captivating 3D effect.
The streamlined control layout of the Broadcast-AP features Level and Gain controls, along with a Low Cut switch.
The Low Cut switch is particularly useful in maintaining the low-end response when driving amplifiers at higher gain and volume levels.
Furthermore, the pedal's internal trimmer allows for additional gain when pushed, producing an overloaded, broken, and fuzzy sound.
