The Focus Fuzz Deluxe takes the beloved Great Eastern FX Focus Fuzz to new heights, combining vintage character with expanded tonal versatility. Whether you need a gritty boost, organic overdrive, or full-blown fuzz, this pedal delivers a rich palette of gain textures—all enhanced by a footswitchable octave-up effect!
At the heart of the Focus Fuzz Deluxe is a rare NOS germanium transistor, blended with silicon transistors and diode clipping for a dynamic, touch-sensitive response.
The result is a pedal that retains all the vintage warmth of its predecessor while adding new tonal shaping tools for modern players.
Designed for maximum flexibility, the Focus Fuzz Deluxe offers three distinct gain modes.
The Boost mode provides an almost-clean boost with just enough grit when you dig in. The Drive mode delivers an organic, amp-like overdrive with rich dynamics and uncompressed response. The Fuzz mode recreates the original Focus Fuzz circuit, ranging from light distortion to heavy, saturated fuzz.
Adding even more versatility, the Overtone footswitch introduces an analog octave-up that blends seamlessly with your full-range signal. Whether you're chasing classic octave fuzz tones or just a touch of harmonic shimmer, Overtone works across all three modes without sacrificing sustain or low-end.
The Focus control is key to shaping your sound. It acts as a gain and presence control in BOOST and DRIVE modes, while in FUZZ mode, it delivers a treble-boosted push into the front of the fuzz circuit.
The Fuzz knob simultaneously adjusts gain and transistor bias, ensuring smooth, musical saturation at any setting.
Hand-built in Cambridge, UK, using high-quality through-hole components, the Focus Fuzz Deluxe is more than just a fuzz—it's a comprehensive gain platform that works equally well with humbuckers and single-coils, and integrates seamlessly into any setup!
