Preserve the tone and feel of your amp at any volume!

The Fryette PS-2A Power Station is an easy-to-use attenuator for controlling the volume of high-powered amps without any of the drawbacks of a conventional attenuator.

If you’ve ever used a traditional Power Attenuator, you've probably experienced the loss of tone and dynamics at various volume settings, along with the frustration of the rotary level switch always feeling one step too loud or too quiet.

The Power Station not only solves those problems but also provides you with more options in one convenient, lightweight package.

Additionally, the Power Station is a tube power booster that can transform any preamp, pedal, or modeling amp into a gig-ready rig. Crank your mini amp to get power tube distortion, then use the Power Station to adjust the overall volume without changing the tone.

You can also use the Power Station as a power amp for amp-less setups or as a monitor power amp for direct modeling to a PA system.

The Power Station will breathe new life and functionality into any amp, large or small!

Fryette PS-2A Power Station Attenuator features:

• Preserve the tone and feel of your amp at any volume, down to whisper levels.

• Completely safe for any tube amplifier.

• Output: 50W of pure tube power.

• Tubes: 2 X 6L6, 1 X 12AX7.

• Provides a post-distortion integrated FX loop.

• XLR balanced and 1/4" unbalanced line out for direct recording or live performances.

• True impedance matching: 2/4, 8 or 16 ohms for the amp and cab to optimize performance while preventing damage.

• Great as a desktop power amp for adding tube power to direct recordings.

• Silent Mode feature provides versatile Reactive Load for silent recording.

• Dimensions: 14" x 2.75" x 9".

• Weight: 15 lb.

What a great piece of equipment.

The PS-2 is just a superb unit. I can't say enough good things about it. I have been a customer of Charles and Electric Mojo for a number of years and can say that he is the best. Always very courteous and prompt with replies. When purchasing music gear... Electric Mojo is the gold standard.

This does its job very well. It allows you to extract a wider range of quality sounds from the amp at reasonable volumes.

Essential piece of gear

Using a Les Paul with a cranked Marshall SV 20 into the Fryette PS 2 and a 2 x 12 cab loaded with greenback speakers. The sound is full bodied and detailed even at low volume. The effects loop is a bonus feature I run some reverb and delay from a lexicon rack and it couldn't be better!
