From the ground up, the Fryette Aether was built to be visually and functionally unique.
By separating the preamp and power amp modules, Fryette achieved a quieter and cleaner signal path with almost imperceptible levels of hum and noise. This design reduces tube vibration, extending tube life, and minimizes frequency cancellations that might otherwise limit tone and sustain.
The preamp starts with warm, balanced tones perfect for jazz, gradually morphing into a thick, harmonic wall of sustain and overdrive—easily tamed by your guitar’s volume control.
Push the power amp module into distortion, and you’ll experience a unique interplay between preamp and power amp, blending textures unlike anything you’ve ever heard before.
The active tube equalization takes tonal shaping to new heights, enhancing the natural voice of your guitar's tonewoods and hardware.
From the pristine clarity of hollow-body cleans to the full-bodied aggression of solid-body slams, the Aether amplifies the interplay between instrument and amp to unmatched levels!

Understanding this, Fryette collaborated with Fane Acoustics UK to design a speaker specifically for the Aether.
After nearly two years of meticulous development, the result is the Fane/Fryette A60S: a 12” Alnico speaker capable of capturing the Aether’s full tonal palette.
Expressive, rich, and uniquely voiced, the A60S sets a new standard, ensuring every nuance of the Aether shines through!
