The Empress Compressor MKII takes everything players loved about the original Empress Compressor—and makes it even better!
This upgraded version retains all the transparent dynamics and high-end control of its predecessor, while adding powerful tone-shaping tools and condensing it into a pedalboard-friendly format.
Designed for players who demand studio-quality compression onstage, in the studio, or at home, the MKII features FET-based compression with a fully analog signal path that preserves your core tone. Whether you're using it for subtle dynamic control or tight, funky sustain, this compressor delivers consistent performance with zero unwanted color.
Independent Attack and Release controls provide precise control over feel and response. Selectable compression ratios (2:1, 4:1, 10:1) make it easy to tailor the pedal to your instrument and playing style. And with separate meters for input level and gain reduction, you’ll always have clear visual feedback on what the compressor is doing!
The new Tilt EQ allows you to quickly brighten or darken your tone around a 500Hz center point, while the onboard sidechain high-pass filter (selectable at 120Hz or 240Hz) helps reduce low-frequency pumping—especially useful for bassists and extended-range guitarists. You also get an external sidechain insert via a 3.5mm TRS jack for advanced routing setups.
Blend in your dry signal with the Mix knob for easy parallel compression, and enjoy true studio-grade flexibility in a sleek, gig-ready enclosure.
Whether you’re tracking, gigging, or dialing in a touch of clean boost, the Compressor MKII is a serious tool for serious tone-shaping!
