The Dawner Prince Boonar MKII faithfully recreates the unmistakable character of the legendary Binson Echorec, one of the most iconic echo units ever produced. Celebrated for its warm, rhythmic repeats and haunting ambience, the Echorec became an essential part of countless classic recordings and helped shape the sound of artists such as Pink Floyd.
Combining premium analog circuitry with advanced digital control, the Boonar MKII captures the feel and musicality of the original while offering the reliability and convenience of a modern stompbox. FET input stages recreate the subtle saturation of the vintage unit, while a powerful DSP accurately models its rotating magnetic drum and four independent playback heads.
The four playback heads can be used individually or combined to create everything from single repeats to the complex rhythmic patterns and cascading echoes that made the Echorec so distinctive. Delay time extends to one second, while dedicated Volume, Tone, Swell and Drum Speed controls provide extensive tonal shaping.
Internal Input and Drum Age trimmers let you further tailor the pedal's character. Increase the input level for subtle vintage-style breakup, or age the virtual drum to introduce darker repeats, softer highs and more pronounced modulation, just like a well-loved original Echorec.
