Expanded Control, Familiar Character

Rapture retains the exact drive circuit of the original Triptychon when both the MORE and MOD switches are in their lower positions. From this familiar starting point, the two switches introduce additional possibilities for shaping the pedal's response, gain structure, and clipping characteristics.

Engaging the MOD switch produces a more open response with increased headroom, reminiscent of a tube amplifier equipped with additional power tubes and a more substantial output transformer. The MORE switch interacts directly with both the DRIVE control and the MOD setting, altering the intensity and character of the gain depending on their positions. Rather than introducing separate channels or unrelated sounds, these controls offer different ways of pushing and refining the same fundamental overdrive voice.
