Developed in collaboration with Paul Davids, the Cornerstone Nucleo is a stereo ambient reverb pedal inspired by the haunting echoes of a nuclear power plant. What started as a creative spark during Paul’s visit to a reactor facility evolved into a powerful partnership with Cornerstone’s Emilio Mazari — resulting in a pedal that transforms industrial space into immersive sonic landscapes.
At its core, the Nucleo offers three reverb modes: Room, Hall, and the mysterious, atmospheric Reactor. Each setting delivers a distinct flavor of space, from intimate reflections to vast, cinematic decay. The Blend knob lets you adjust the balance between your dry and wet signal, while Decay, Tone, and Freeze Pitch knobs give you precise control over the reverb’s length, brightness, and frozen pitch behavior.
Three intuitive sliders add an otherworldly dimension to the effect. Mod adjusts the modulation speed for subtle motion or slow drift. Air adds shimmer-style upper harmonics for ethereal textures. Flux introduces random movement and instability, simulating the unpredictable energy of a reactor core.
The right footswitch engages a Freeze function, letting you hold the current reverb trail while playing over it — perfect for building lush pads, ambient transitions, or drone-style performances. A latch mode enables seamless transitions between chords or notes while freeze is active.
Under the hood, the Nucleo is a full-featured digital platform built for modern rigs. It offers stereo inputs and outputs, full MIDI implementation, and a USB-C port for use as an audio interface — all in a compact, pedalboard-ready enclosure.
Handmade in Italy and rich with sonic character, the Nucleo is not just a reverb — it’s an instrument for shaping space, texture, and time.
