Steve Carr's homage to smaller 1960s combos!

The Sportsman is the latest creation out of Steve Carr’s North Carolina shop.

This 6V6-powered, class-A combo is based on smaller, US-made, reverb-equipped 1960s amplifiers (think Fender Princeton).

But it’s also built around an expanded array of controls, bound to please guitarists across a greater variety of musical settings.

The versatile Sportsman can cover everything from jazzy cleans to overdriven Texas-blues to Rock & Roll grind!

The combination of Volume, Headroom, and Mid controls puts this an impressive palette at your fingertips.

The Sportsman can sound beautifully Fender-like, or twangy and grinding, or more British-y and sustaining!

No matter how it’s set, the Carr Sportsman is in its own league in terms of harmonic richness and complexity.
