A spot-on replica of the 1960s Tone Bender Fuzz!

The British Pedal Company MKII Tone Bender OC81D is a detailed replica of the 1966 Tone Bender fuzz created by Gary Hurst.

The MKII circuit, unlike the MK1.5 version, used 3 OC81D transistors.

The OC81D loaded Tone Bender MKII can be heard on many Led Zeppelin tracks such as ‘Whole Lotta Love’.

This was the exact pedal used by Jimmy Page during the filming of the 'It Might Get Loud' documentary!

Great fuzz pedal

Great fuzz pedal, which gives me part of the sound of one of the reasons I started playing, Jimmy Page. Would have given it five stars, but it’s a very large pedal which because of the design I have no idea how to mount it on my pedalboard. They must be going for both the aesthetic and the sound because the actual circuit does not need a huge enclosure like this. I have to wonder if they could sell more if they made it the size of a modern pedal but this one’s a limited edition so I’m just happy I have it. I’ll just keep it in its box and when I go to play plug it in to the first pedal on my board. Would have given it five stars but deducted one for the size of the pedal, which is the exact same as Jimmy has. As usual amazing delivery and service from Charles which together with the always excellent pricing together with his excellent return policy has made me a repeat customer.
