Tubesteader's nod to the Dumble Overdrive Special!

The Lightkeeper V2 is an all-tube preamp based on the clean channel of the famed Dumble Overdrive Special.

This preamp is all about bright clarity and articulation!

It's got a vintage Fender vibe but with tighter bass and more prominent mids, thanks to the Dumble-refined tone stack.

The Lightkeeper works exceptionally well as an overdrive or preamp and will fit nicely on any board.

Additionally, it is well-suited to live at the end of your chain. Send it into your favorite cab sim or IR loader for responsive feel and dynamic tone thanks to the onboard 12AX7 tube!

Perfect.

I’ve been trying to get a mostly clean or slighlty overdriven tone from pedalboard direct to computer interface. Sounds easy, but it hasn’t been. After endless tweaking with sims and IRs, I dumped all that stuff and plugged in the Lightkeeper. Now it sounds like I’m playing through a tube amp, and the breakup sounds like a tube amp because that’s what it is. Overdrive pedals sound like they’re pushing a tube, because they are. Ordered from Electric Mojo on a Friday afternoon and the Lightkeeper arrived Monday morning!
