Marshall Mojo in a Box!
The Room #40 captures the essence of some of the most iconic Marshall amplifiers ever made, delivering classic British tones in a compact, pedalboard-friendly format. Inspired by legendary models like the Plexi Super Lead, Super Bass, JMP 2203/2204, and JCM800, the Room #40 brings the soul of these amps right to your feet.
Using carefully tuned JFET technology, the Room #40 replicates not just the sound but also the dynamic compression and sag of a cranked tube power section. Two famous amp modifications are built in: Mod #39 for the Plexi sound and Mod #34 for the JMP/JCM800 series, offering rich tonal versatility from crunchy classic rock to aggressive high-gain tones.
To honor the Brown Sound pioneered by Eddie Van Halen, the Room #40 also incorporates a Variac control, allowing you to adjust internal voltage from 7.5V to 21V—altering the headroom, compression, and overall feel of the pedal. A versatile Presence control helps tailor the high-end response to suit bright or dark amplifiers, while a three-band EQ lets you shape your tone with authority.
A footswitchable gain boost with a dedicated internal trimmer gives you even more flexibility, making it easy to kick into higher gain for solos or heavier parts. Whether you're plugging into the front of a clean amp, a crunchy amp, or a dedicated power amp, the Room #40 delivers unmistakable British mojo with touch sensitivity and musical responsiveness!
