Hudson Broadcast Dual Footswitch Pedal.
With the Dual Broadcast, Hudson Electronics took their popular Broadcast Preamp and added the extra flexibility of foot-switchable gain modes.
The gain modes (Low or High) have been made selectable via the right footswitch.
Each mode has its own Level control and, in addition, the pedal has two internal trimmers that allow you to fine-tune the amount of gain on each mode.
In the low gain setting, the Broadcast can cover everything from sparkling clean boost through to transparent overdrive.
In high gain mode, the Broadcast delivers heavier distorted sounds with a warm and fuzzy edge.
Based on the classic consoles of the 1960s.
The Broadcast is a transformer coupled, discrete Class-A germanium pre-amplifier based on the classic RCA broadcast consoles of the 1960s.
The Broadcast features a specially selected Triad steel-core transformer and a NOS germanium transistor.
The Broadcast covers a wide range of overdriven and distorted tones whilst remaining dynamic: responding well pick attack and nuances in your playing.
Run the Broadcast at any voltage between 9V and 24V!
Running the Broadcast at 18V or 24V gives it more headroom, output and clarity.
This is great for use with bass or when using the Broadcast as a clean preamp boost.
