A smooth yet fiery overdrive with MOSFET clipping!
The Wampler Mofetta is Brian Wampler’s homage to the MOSFET-driven magic of a 1990s classic: the MT10 MOSTORTION.
A favorite of countless top session players, the Mofetta honors the soul of this elusive circuit while unlocking its untapped potential.
Think of the Mofetta as a supercharged MOSTORTION, reborn and refined!
Wampler retained the classic, amp-like overdrive, massive headroom, and versatile 3-band EQ that made the original so beloved.
But Brian wanted more, adding a Texture switch that activates MOSFETs in the overdrive section for a bolder, more articulate tone.
The Mofetta preserves everything you love about the 1990s legend while introducing a powerful new dimension!
The original MT10 MOSTORTION was released in 1990 as part of a budget pedal line aimed at the growing guitar market.
Despite its low-cost origins, guitarists began to appreciate its amp-like low-gain tones.
Though discontinued a few years later, the MOSTORTION became highly sought after, with used units fetching high prices.
The Mofetta brings that legacy back, recreating those singing tones while exploring new sonic territory!
