Van Diemens Analogue Audio Disruptors is a boutique effect pedal manufacturer based in Tasmania, Australia.
All of their effects are filled with rare, NOS and reclaimed vintage components.
The Dasy is their premium germanium Fuzz Face.
The units in stock were ordered with über rare Mullard OC44N germanium transistors. Nothing trumpets and screams like an original OC44N!
The Dasy is typical of a Fuzz Face, with a warm, darker response. It is also quite agressive when wound up, but dial back the Attack contol a bit and you get excellent cleans when rolling down your guitar's volume.
The circuit is loaded with a selection of NOS Philips, Mullard mustard and Mullard tropical fish capacitors, as well as NOS Piher and Allen Bradley resistors. These beauties are all mounted onto a handcrafted board.
Van Diemens also uses Alpha potentiometers, Neutrik or Switchcraft jacks and Alpha footswitches.
