Celebrating a Decade of the Sixty8 Drive
To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the original Sixty8 Drive, LPD Pedals has introduced the limited edition Sixty8X. This updated version builds on the tone and feel that made the original a favorite on professional touring boards, while adding a deeper level of control and refinement.
The Sixty8X captures the character of a late-60s British amp pushed into its sweet spot, with rich harmonic content, natural compression, and the dynamic response players expect from classic circuits. A newly expanded Bass, Mid, Treble, and Presence tone stack allows for precise shaping of the pedal’s voice, while the carefully tuned phase inverter clipping circuit helps deliver the authentic feel and texture associated with 1968-era amplifiers.
Two distinct voices are available within the pedal. The classic Green and Red channels can be selected directly from the footswitch with a quick press, making it easy to switch between gain structures during a performance. An internal trimmer allows the output level of each channel to be balanced to taste.
The Sixty8X also features soft-touch relay bypass switching with last-state memory, ensuring smooth, quiet operation both on stage and in the studio.
For players searching for the balance between vintage tone and modern flexibility, the Sixty8X delivers the character of a classic amp-inspired drive with the control needed for today’s rigs.
