Jackson Audio teamed up with Joey Landreth for the Golden Boy Mini, a streamlined take on their versatile Golden Boy overdrive.
With its exceptional harmonic detail and abundant headroom, this compact overdrive pedal takes the concept of transparent overdrive to new heights, using a simple and powerful interface.
The control layout closely resembles the original Golden Boy, featuring Volume, Gain, and a Baxandall-style three-band EQ.
However, the Boost knob has been replaced with a convenient three-way toggle switch.
This switch allows you to effortlessly switch between Asymmetrical and LED clipping modes, offering different flavors of overdrive.
The Asymmetrical mode provides a chewy and organic overdrive, while the LED mode adds crispness and a sharp attack to your sound.
Under the hood, the Golden Boy Mini retains the Presence and Tone trimmers, providing additional fine-tuning options for your tone.
These settings have been meticulously dialed in to capture the signature sounds and settings of Joey Landreth.
Jackson Audio has taken Landreth's favored tones and settings and condensed them into a smaller, more affordable unit!
