Vintage ’50s Tele tones with smooth, musical response
The Seymour Duncan Antiquity Tele Pickup Set delivers the classic early-’50s Telecaster sound with a warm, musical midrange and smooth treble that’s never harsh. These pickups are custom aged cosmetically and magnetically to recreate the look and tonal character of original vintage Tele single coils, giving your guitar a tone that feels broken-in and expressive.
The Antiquity Tele Bridge delivers the unmistakable twang and snap of an early Tele, with hand-calibrated Alnico 2 rod magnets that keep the high end bright without being piercing. Its classic bridge-position voice is crisp and dynamic, perfect for solos or cutting through a full band mix.
The Antiquity Tele Neck faithfully reproduces the rich, rounded low end and smooth high-end attack of early Tele neck pickups. Its specially selected Alnico 5 rod magnets and custom winding provide a balanced, full voice that adds warmth and character to chords and rhythm playing. The reverse-wound/reverse-polarity design reduces hum in switch positions 2 and 4 while preserving that classic Tele “quack” and glassy in-between tones.
Each pickup is hand-crafted and scatter-wound in the Seymour Duncan Custom Shop, then lacquered and wax potted in lamp-black paraffin wax like the originals. The result is a set that looks, feels and sounds like a set of vintage Telecaster pickups with character and musicality built in.
