Two of the most iconic guitar players in a box!
The Sabbadius Mr White Special is designed to recreate the big, rich tones of two of the most legendary guitarists in history — Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughan.
Inspired by the gear these players used both live and in the studio, the Mr White Special is a versatile analog booster that can highlight solos, add harmonic content, or simulate the overdriven response of a cranked tube amp at any volume.
SRV’s warm, dynamic tones were shaped by Dumble amps, Fender Super Reverbs, Vibroverbs, and Bassmans. Hendrix’s legendary sound came from experimenting with an eclectic array of gear — from Dual Showmans and Bassmans to Guild Preamps and Marshalls.
Sabbadius studied these tonal foundations to create a pedal that lets you tap into the same sonic DNA.
7 ways to use the Mr White Special
1. Push the front end of your amp for more saturation and richer mids.
2. Simulate pushed tube amp tones at lower amp volumes.
3. Recover lost frequencies from long pedal chains or large pedalboards.
4. Use as a clean boost for solos, or to add gain to your drive pedals (depending on placement in your chain).
5. As a preamp to warm your sound when going straight into a console.
6. Engage the Jimi Magic Preamp switch for more harmonics, saturation, and bass response.
7. Add dynamics to your acoustic tone and reduce hum from soundhole pickups.
