The Holy Grail of Fuzzes!
Joe and Steve, the Isle of Tone team, are lovers of vintage gear.
They’ve spent years collecting and working on some crazy rare pieces of gear.
During this time, they’ve had the opportunity to own and compare a myriad of vintage pedals.
The Haze is their homage to Fuzz: a completely handmade tribute to the most beloved fuzzes in history.
Isle of Tone spare no effort when building a Haze!
Everything is 100% handmade, matched by ear and assembled using crazy rare, vintage components.
Isle of Tone search the world over for some of the rarest, NOS components they can get their hands on.
Only the best of the bunch are used in their builds. The result can only be described as the Holy Grail of fuzzes!
Isle of Tone fuzzes have made it into the hands of greats like Joey Landreth, Ariel Posen, Josh Smith and Nick Perri.
Isle of Tone's homage to Fuzz!
The Schaller MK1.5 Fuzz is an artifact of fuzz history, a hidden gem that was the foundation for an entire genre of music.
Think Fuzz Face/MK1.5 Tonebender, but with its own flair. All the cleanup of a Fuzz Face, all the raw/gnarly tone a Bender!
The Schaller Fuzz was built like a tank in Germany during the 1960s, the golden era of guitar pedal manufacturing!
Originally designed with AC151 transistors, the Schaller MK1.5 is known for its HUGE tone!
The Haze pays homage to this classic with its thick, AC151-powered tones!
