The Secret Machine MKII is DanDrive’s modernized take on their original germanium-based fuzz, redesigned after their supply of vintage transistors ran out. This new version preserves the aggressive character of classic Zonkmachine-style fuzz, but adds a trick no traditional Zonk can match—it cleans up.
Carefully tuned and re-voiced, the Secret Machine MKII can go from full-on fuzz fury to clean and sparkly when you roll back your guitar's volume, much like a vintage Fuzz Face. It’s dynamic, touch-sensitive, and incredibly responsive when dialed in just right!
Compared to DanDrive’s Secret Weapon, the Secret Machine is brighter and more focused in the gain structure, making it a great match for darker amps or neck pickups that need a bit of bite. Thanks to temperature-stable transistors, it also performs reliably onstage and in the studio.
Built in a compact 125B enclosure with top-mounted jacks, a jewel amp light, and true bypass switching, the Secret Machine MKII is a powerful, expressive fuzz that brings vintage tone and modern flexibility to your board.
