Jake E Lee and Dave Friedman team up once again!

Jake E Lee ranks high on the shortlist of influential guitarists that emerged as the heroes of a new generation in the early 1980s.

He’s best known for his contributions to two of Ozzy Osbourne's most iconic albums: Bark at the Moon and The Ultimate Sin.

Following the successful release of the limited edition JEL-100 and JEL-20 signature amps, Jake E Lee and Dave Friedman reunite to create the IR-J—an all-tube, direct signal solution that captures Lee’s ultimate tones in a pedalboard-friendly format.

The IR-J packs two independent channels inspired by the JEL-100 and JEL-20, based on Dave’s modded ‘800/Plexi circuits.

Powered by two 12AX7 preamp tubes, each channel delivers deep harmonic richness and the responsive feel of a full-sized tube amp!

All-tube Friedman tone.

The IR-J isn’t just simulating a tube preamp; it is a tube preamp!

The IR-J runs two 12AX7 preamp tubes at over 300 volts for genuine amp tone, response, and complexity.

Two independent channels with boost.

The IR-J features two fully independent channels with Volume, Gain, 3-Band EQ, Boost Volume and switches for Bright and IR.

Like on Friedman's flagship amps, Channel 1 takes your tone from bluesy, British-voiced cleans to a muscular Plexi-style roar.

Engage Channel 2 for a higher-gain JEL voice and all the percussive punch, note clarity and singing sustain that comes with it!

A lower gain switch setting also gives you access to the classic 800-style preamp circuit everyone knows and loves.

Need more? Both channels feature their own independent and highly tweakable TS-style boost circuits.

This famous Green machine is well known in the world of ‘800-style amps and will complement the tone nicely.

This essentially gives you four channels, accessible with the tap of your foot!

Impulse Response cabinet and power amp simulation.

For studio-quality sound directly from your pedalboard, the IR-J features SYNERGY-powered, ultra-low latency DSP IR cabinet simulation.

Choose from 18 of Dave Friedman’s favorite IRs (or add your own via software) to send a mic'd-up tone directly to your DAW or front-of-house.

Flexible rig integration.

The transparent, programmable FX loop makes it easy to integrate your favorite effects with everything from the most straightforward setups, to complex, digitally-controlled rigs.

Route dirt pedals directly into the IR-J and place time-based effects in the FX Loop.

Or, use the FX Loop Send to drive your amp’s power section, while sending IR output to the console for live situations.

Amazing tone, versatile and onboard controls provide diverse range of tones

I was hoping for a great Plexi sound for chimy cleans and to use as a preamp into my Fryette power station and what a combo it is! I have effects loops on both the power station and the Friedman so lots of flexibility for pedal combos. I also plug it into my Fender Champ or my Carr Mercury V. So versatile and the on board controls plus the Boost on both channels lets me play everything from jazz, blues, funk to AC/DC .
