The Strymon Volante is a stereo multi-head delay inspired by three iconic magnetic echo machines: drum echo, tape echo, and studio reel-to-reel delay.

Rather than simply offering delay presets, Volante recreates the feel, response, and sonic character of these classic machines with remarkable depth. From the warm, saturated repeats of a magnetic drum echo to the smooth imperfections of tape echo and the cleaner fidelity of studio reel-to-reel delay, Volante offers a wide range of vintage-inspired sounds with modern control.

It also includes an independent spring reverb and a Sound on Sound looping mode, making it far more than a traditional delay pedal.

Multi-Head Delay with Deep Control

At the center of Volante are four playback heads that can be independently activated and shaped, allowing you to create everything from simple echo patterns to complex rhythmic delays and spacious ambient textures.

Each playback head offers individual control over level, feedback, and stereo panning, giving you precise control over how the repeats move, build, and interact.

Dedicated controls for Low Cut, Mechanics, and Wear allow you to shape the tonal character and condition of the virtual echo machine, from clean and well-maintained to worn, unstable, and full of vintage personality.

From Vintage Echo to Sound on Sound

Volante can move from warm, organic slapback and rhythmic multi-head echoes to lush atmospheric delays, evolving feedback, and immersive stereo soundscapes.

The Record Level control lets you drive the virtual recording medium for anything from clean repeats to thicker, more saturated echoes. The built-in spring reverb adds extra depth, while Sound on Sound mode opens the door to ambient layering and looping-style textures.

With stereo operation, MIDI, tap tempo, Favorite recall, expression control, and analog dry-through, Volante fits easily into both simple pedalboards and more advanced live or studio rigs.
