The Formula B Fuzz Rangers was born from an interaction between the company and its user base.
Fans requested a pedal that could cover a wide variety of fuzz tones, 'clean up' with the guitar's volume and work well with Wah pedals.
Formula B came up with the idea of a dual-channel pedal combining a Fuzz Face-style circuit and a Rangemaster-inspired Treble Booster.
Each effect is a faithful recreations of those legendary vintage circuits.
Components were matched to not only work well together, but also add minimum background noise.
Of the three knobs, two (Fuzz and Level) control the Fuzz Face channel, while Boost controls the Rangemaster clone.
The top toggle switch also affects the Boost by highlighting different frequencies (Mid, High, Low).
A Routing toggle on the right side of the case lets you invert the order of the effects for extra tonal possibilities.
