Magnezium is a meticulously hand-built, two-channel preamp featuring two 12AX7 tubes running at high voltage.
Its circuit draws inspiration from the beloved Magnatone Super 59, a design closely associated with Billy Gibbons.
It combines the silky tones of a Fender amp with the beefy overdriven tones of a Marshall circuit, giving you the best of both worlds!
The low-gain channel delivers a rich bottom end with Bassman-style overdrive, while the high-gain channel adds a Marshall-style gain stage at the front of the circuit: perfect for Southern rock sounds!
Cranking the gain past noon takes you firmly into harmonically rich ZZ Top riffing territory.
A toggle switch on the side of the pedal offers two output modes: a higher output for direct connection to a power amp or a cab sim, and an attenuated mode with a treble cut for connection to the front of an amp.
Positioned at the end of your signal chain, Magnezium pairs beautifully with your favorite cab sim or IR loader, delivering a responsive feel and dynamic tone, thanks to its onboard 12AX7 tubes.
This pedal is as amp-like as they come, responding naturally to your playing dynamics!
