Vintage-style fuzz inspired by the legendary Tone Bender MK1
The Manlay Sound Ronno Bender is a faithful handmade replica of the classic Sola Sound Tone Bender MK1, the fuzz circuit that helped define the sound of 60s rock. This pedal captures the gated, raw fuzz character heard on records from the Yardbirds, The Who and, most notably, Mick Ronson with David Bowie’s Spiders From Mars, delivering rich sustain, dynamic touch response and fluid breakup.
Hand built in Barcelona using carefully selected NOS germanium transistors, the Ronno Bender stays true to the original circuit and its distinctive character. It delivers raw, punchy fuzz with a gated decay and excellent clean-up when rolling back your guitar’s volume knob, just like an original 1960s Tone Bender MKI.
