When Duane acquired the Cherry Burst in 1970, he had those Goldtop pickups transferred into his new guitar — and they stayed there until the very end.

Wound to the exact specs measured during Gibson’s 2013 Custom Shop recreation, the Wizz Cherry Burst Set delivers all the articulate, singing clarity heard on At Fillmore East. The set features double black bobbins, vintage-correct covers, and carefully selected Alnico magnets matched by ear to capture the essence of Duane’s tone.

Each pickup is wound to a DCR of approximately 7kΩ — low output, just like a proper 1957 P.A.F. — for maximum clarity, touch sensitivity, and vintage feel. The result? Smooth top-end, warm mids, and rich harmonic bloom that’s instantly familiar and endlessly inspiring.

If you’re chasing Duane’s tone — or just want a P.A.F. set with soul, clarity, and character — this one’s for you!

Wizz Pickups Fillmore Cherry Burst Humbucker Specifications

• Meticulously recreated from the pickups in Duane Allman’s Cherry Burst

• Double black bobbins with aged nickel covers

• Neck DC Resistance: ~6.97k ohm

• Bridge DC Resistance: ~7.04k ohm

• Alnico magnets selected by ear for vintage accuracy

• Vintage-correct wire, bobbins, and construction throughout

• Unpotted coils, just like the originals
