The Valco Five-O is a 3-in-1 pedal, containing independent Drive, Tremolo, and Reverb sections, all housed in a bombproof enclosure.
Conceived originally for surf-in-a-box tones, it has become more than this through the development process.
The Five-O is a pedal that can easily give you a one-pedal setup for gigs, or it can add a whole host of extra sounds to your existing rig!
The Drive section is based on the Drive section found in the the Valco BloodBuzz, but with increased gain.
It’s a natural sounding, amp-like circuit, with a slight Brown Sound-inspired tonality.
The Tremolo section packs an analog 4-wave tremolo, based on the original Fulltone SupaTrem.
The ‘Short Square’ wave allows for staccato sounds while the ‘Sine Wave’ offers mellower sounds, with everything in between available.
The Five-O Reverb is Spring voiced at its core, but with added Plate sounds.
Usable at all knob position extremes, its secret weapon is the ‘Pre’ function.
‘Pre’ lets you route the Reverb section to the front of the FX chain, opening up another world of sonic capabilities!
Add Trem to long Reverb tails, or feed Reverb into Drive to bolster lead sounds!
