6L6 and EL84 tubes work together for a completely new flavor!

The heart of the Telstar’s magic starts with its use of two different output tube types in a push-pull Class A configuration.

You may have a 6L6 amp or an EL84 amp, but not an amp that uses both types in harmony for a new pallet of expression!

The Telstar tips its hat to these Mid-Century designs while being its own amp and taking tone to the future!


Built-in attenuator and lots of controls.

The Telstar sound can easily range from haunting rich cleans to creamy overdrive.

The built-in attenuator lets you grind at sane volume levels.

Carr's Lean / Lush switch lets you tailor the body of the tone.

When really pushing the amp or when you want a sharper vibe, Lean is where you want to be.

For thick and deep bass, especially at lower volumes, Lush is best.


Tread the line between Fender and Marshall tones!

The 53 / 58 switch changes the overall gain structure and the frequencies the Tone control emphasizes.

This switch lets you sonically tread the years from early-1950s Fender roundness thru late-1950s Marshall bite.


A simple, yet effective tone circuit.

Tweed amps possess simple yet effective tone circuits which have a more midrange forward sound compared to the familiar Blackface scoop.

Carr has taken this simple tone configuration and extended its range while offering extra clarity and dimension.


Experiment with tubes!

You can use any octal power tube along with the EL84 without re-biasing the amp.

Each power tube type has its own vibe.
