The only pedal you need for your acoustic gigs!

Carl Martin unveils the Acoustic GiG: a compact multi-effect and preamp for acoustic guitars.

The pedal stemmed from Carl Martin’s counterpart to the Acoustic GiG, the Quattro.

Martin wanted to create the same sort of high quality, easy to use pedal for his acoustic guitar as well.

First, your signal encounters a compressor / limiter, with a simple pair of controls governing the amount of compression and volume level.

Next in the chain is an echo, with controls for level, tone, repeat and tap-tempo, plus a switch to enable a dotted eight delay.

For more space, there’s also an analog / digital hybrid reverb, tailored after vintage spring reverbs.

At higher settings, this reverb begins to introduce a beautiful modulated texture into the trails.

For a quick increase in volume (to let solos cut through the mix), there’s also a boost section with up to 15dB of clean, flat-EQ’d gain on tap.

The final step in the signal chain is a semi-parametric EQ (the same EQ found in Carl Martin’s 3-Band Parametric Pre-Amp), allowing for detailed tone shaping.

Some extra, gig-focused features appear for good measure, including a phase-shift switch to avoid unwanted feedback, alongside a tuner and a mute switch.

The Acoustic Gig features a 1/4" in, an unbalanced 1/4" out, a balanced XLR out, as well as a loop that lets you insert effects between the Boost and the EQ.

The unit takes a standard 9V DC input, and boasts a direct DC output for powering an extra pedal.
